School of Marxism
Responsible for teaching and research of ideological and political theory courses of DVI, the School of Marxism is set with five teaching and research sections of Fundamentals, Essentials, Situation and Policy, Moral Education and Chinese. The school mainly takes charge of teaching of compulsory courses such as Ideological and Moral Cultivation and Legal Basis, Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, Situation and Policy, and ideological and political courses for all majors and grades of the five-year consistent system, as well as elective courses such as National Security Education for College Students.
With reasonable faculty structure, the school has now had 60 full-time teachers, including 3 professors and 17 associate professors. Among these teachers, 2 obtained their doctoral degrees, 53 obtained their master degrees, 40 obtain the “dual-qualifications”, and 1 has been rated as Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Backbone Teacher among the Selected Candidates of “Ten Hundred” Teachers Teaching Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Colleges and Universities in Shandong Province. The school also has 24 part-time teachers with satisfactory professional skills.
Attaching great importance to teaching and scientific research, the school has made remarkable achievements in this regard. In recent years, teachers have won many awards in provincial and school-level lecture competitions. With regard to teaching reform, the school has officially started the reform of ideological and political course teaching, and boldly explored the teaching reform with students as the center, improvement of efficiency of ideological and political courses as the mission, and moral education-based talent cultivation as the general goal.
We are satisfied with the achievements made in the past and full of confidence in our bright future. In the coming days, the School of Marxism will keep playing its role as a model and make persistent efforts to achieve greater success under the leadership of the CPC.
